Floyd-Jones family papers, [ca. 1820-1901].

Papers are principally those of Henry Onderdonk Floyd-Jones (1792-1862), a career military man and politician. Papers are primarily letters addressed to Major-General Floyd-Jones and are concerned with military matters affecting the militia units, ca. 1820-1849. Six scrapbooks detail travels abroad by Henry O. Floyd-Jones' son, Delancy Floyd-Jones (1826-1902), also a career military man. Scrapbooks contain letters and news clippings, mostly written by Floyd-Jones, as well as some travel documents, ca. 1868-1901. Some papers concern other family members.
